Vegan and gluten-free chocolate brownie baking mix

To be on the safe side, we advise always keeping a box of our vegan brownie baking mix in the cupboard, just in case a special occasion happens to spring itself on you. That way, you’ll always have delicious, gooey, celebratory treats to hand which are quick and easy to make.

When we say ‘special occasion’ though, what we really mean is, well, anytime you fancy. After all, brownies make any ol’ average day special – whether that be a Monday afternoon when you’re making a to-do list for the week or Friday evening and getting ready for the weekend. We bake these slices of deliciousness whenever we want to put a spring in our step – that’s why we named them joy makers!

Our brownie mix recipe uses only ingredients that are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, dairy-free, organic, and natural, so you can enjoy this satisfying dessert without consuming any nasties like refined sugar or additives. Helping you make healthy, happy, wholesome food is what’s most important to us.


Unrefined cane sugar*, buckwheat flour*, brown rice flour*, tapioca flour*, chocolate drops (cocoa butter*, cocoa mass*, sugar*, rice powder*, sunflower lecithin (emulsifier), natural flavouring), cocoa powder* (7%), ground linseed, gluten-free baking powder (mono calcium phosphate, corn starch, sodium bicarbonate), inulin (2%), salt. * Ingredient from organic agriculture.

Just add:

100g (1/2 cup) of water

75g of vegetable oil/vegetable spread or melted unsalted butter

20g (1 tbsp) of agave/maple syrup or honey

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tin with baking paper (e.g. 22cm square tin or 27cm round) and grease with butter or vegetable oil.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the butter (or vegetable oil), water and your liquid sweetener.
  3. Add your brownie mix to the wet mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 14-16 mins. Tip: take out at 14 minutes for fudgy brownies. Once ready, cool on a wire rack, cut into 12 pieces and enjoy!
