Recipe: matcha bliss balls

Matcha has been one the most popular superfoods of 2016. However, many of us still don't quite like its bitter taste and the powdery taste it leaves on the palate. These little bliss balls are perfect because here matcha gives a very subtle, delicious kick. 

Recipe (makes 10 energy balls):

Almond meal 10 tbsp

Puffed amaranth 10 tsp

Milled flaxseed 10 tsp

Rolled oats 5 tbsp

Dates 6

Maca powder 5 tsp

Matcha 1 tsp

Desiccated coconut 5 tbsp

Coconut oil 10 tsp

Agave nectar if desired

 

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blitz until combined. Taste for sweetness and add coconut oil and agave syrup (if desired). Roll into balls and refrigerate for up to 10 days in an airtight container. Enjoy!
