Recipe: Aphrodisiac Bliss Bites

Posted by Ksenia Tkacheva on September 09, 2016

We think that food should bring us pleasure. If it tastes good, it cheers us up and if it’s nutritious, it nourishes our bodies. This was our belief when we started Superfood Bakery and we want to share with you some recipes that will make you happier and healthier!
As the name suggests, these bliss bites contain some magic maca powder, the superfood that simultaneously improves sexual function, acts as an aphrodisiac and improves fertility! Alongside maca, there are protein-rich nuts, energy-boosting amaranth, and Omega-3 rich flaxseed, just to name a few. And you know what? These bites taste so much better than the stuff you’d get from an overhyped coffee-shop for £2/piece!
Recipe (makes 10 bliss bites)
20 walnut halves
2.5 tbsp ground almonds
2.5 tbsp puffed amaranth
2.5 tbsp rolled oats
1.5 tbsp milled flaxseed
1 tbsp maca powder
2.5 tbsp desiccated coconut
3 dates
2 tsp agave syrup
1.5 tbsp coconut oil
Method
Simply pour all ingredients into a blender, blitz until soft. Taste for sweetness. Add the coconut oil and agave syrup (if desired, we like ours not too sweet). Roll into balls and refridgerate for up to 10 days! Yum!
